If a game has partial controller support, this means you can use a controller to play it but you may also need mouse and keyboard input at some point. You typically need a mouse and keyboard to start the game, navigate through the menus, or type in your username or your character’s name.
Games with partial controller support may not automatically recognize your controller as the primary input method.
As a result, you’ll need a mouse and keyboard the first time you play the game to set the controller as your primary input method.
After tweaking your settings, you should have no problem playing the game with a controller.
In rare cases, certain controllers may not be detected in games with partial controller support. Or the game detects two controllers although you’re only using one.
