The Sims 4 is one of the most popular and long-lived games in the world. But this doesn’t mean it’s free of bugs. As a matter of fact, there are hundreds of minor glitches and bugs still affecting the game even to this day.
EA is aware of many of these bugs and is working on fixing them as soon as possible. That’s one of the reasons why you should always keep your game up-to-date.
EA’s devs do their best when developing The Sims 4, but things don’t always work as intended.
It’s not uncommon for new bugs and glitches to appear even on Patch Day.
If you notice something’s not working as it should in the game, report the bug to EA.
How do I report a bug in The Sims 4?
If you need to report Sims 4 bugs such as crashes, freezes, game lag, animation glitches, or any problem with game mechanics, go to EA’s Sims 4 Bug Report page. Open a thread for each bug, and use the ready-made template for bug reports.
When you submit your bug report, make sure to include as many details as possible to give EA a clear picture of the issue you’re experiencing. Include information about the product code, the device you’re using, your username, as well as the steps to reproduce the glitch.
If you don’t write anything in the text box when submitting your bugs, you won’t be able to post the bug report.
Check if other players already reported the bug
If other Sims 4 players already reported the bug, click on the Me too button instead of adding a new threat. If you want to add particular details about the respective glitch, you can also add a comment to the initial bug report. EA will use that information to better identify the root cause of the problem.
You may not get a personal response
If you’re hoping to get a personal response from EA following your bug report, keep in mind there’s no guarantee that will happen. After all, if the devs responded to every player individually, they wouldn’t get much done.
Rest assured, they do read your bug reports.
Also, there’s no guarantee the bug you reported will get fixed quickly. But the more reports EA receives of a specific bug, the more likely they are to take a closer look at the problem.
Do upvote the bug reports submitted by other players if you’ve been experiencing similar problems.
How EA handles bug reports
After submitting your bug report, EA reviews it and forwards it to the game development team.
The devs then create a list of the most frequently reported bugs and start working on fixing the glitches that happen most often for multiple players.

I am playing the new scenario, aliens stole my parents, and whenever I have my kid and teen travel somewhere it shows that their parent is just at home, instead of being abducted. Also, when I moved my sims onto an empty lot their money automatically gets cut to 500 so I have to cheat it up to buy a house. Also, also, ( I tried to play this twice within different saves and families ) the first time I logged in, my sims grades got dropped to an F ( I don’t know whether this is supposed to happen or not ) and the second time they stayed as C students. I really want to play this scenario it’s just so buggy.
