Valorant Error 39: What Does It Means & How To Fix It

fix valorant error 39

Valorant is one of the most popular games of the moment despite its long list of errors and issues.

And every day, there’s a new error that rears its ugly head preventing players from enjoying the game. Error code 39 is one such error.

What is Valorant error code 39? Error 39 occurs when the game servers are down. There are two main reasons for that: the servers are undergoing scheduled maintenance or they are unresponsive due to unexpected errors or too many players trying to connect at the same time.

What to do if you get error code 39 in Valorant

⇒ When you get error 39, check if the servers are undergoing maintenance. Go to Riot Games’ status page, select Valorant, and check if there is any news about scheduled maintenance.

If there is maintenance scheduled, wait for the servers to get back online. There is nothing you can do about it on your end since this server unavailability is only temporary. Once Valorant’s servers will be up and running again, you will be able to play the game. In the meantime, play another game.

⇒ Additionally, go to Twitter and Reddit and check if other gamers complained about error 39. If the servers are down for issues other than scheduled maintenance, Twitter and Reddit should be flooded with complaints. Sometimes, Riot may take a few hours until they officially acknowledge such issues. If other gamers are reporting the same problem, this is a clear indicator this could be a general issue.

How to Fix Valorant Error Code 39

Since this is a server-side problem, there isn’t much that you can do about it but wait for Riot to fix it.
If you want to make sure that everything is running smoothly on your home network, you can restart your modem and router (if you’re using two devices) and reboot your computer.

Additionally, you can change your Wi-Fi channel or switch to a cable connection, if possible. That should be more stable than a wireless connection. Also, if there are other devices using the connection, disconnect them. In this manner, the computer you use to play Valorant can use the whole bandwidth.

Hopefully, Valorant’s servers won’t be unavailable for a long period of time. Most scheduled maintenance work ends within two or three hours.

Of course, it the problem doesn’t stem from scheduled maintenance, it may take longer for Riot to fix it.

Have a little patience and play another game until Valorant gets back online.
