Fix PS5 error CE-105799-1 with these solutions

What causes PS5 error CE-105799-1?

Error CE-105799-1 indicates the PlayStation Network is down, or your Internet connection is not working properly. That’s why you should first check if the PSN servers are down. If this is the case, wait until Sony has fixed the problem.

If the PSN servers go down unexpectedly, Sony may need more time time to solve the problem. But if the servers are offline only temporarily for scheduled maintenance, they should be back online shortly.

If your modem or router stops working, you won’t be able to connected to the PlayStation Network. Or maybe your ISP’s network is down.

How do I fix PS5 error CE-105799-1?

1. Check your network connection

1.1 Unplug your network equipment

If your modem or router has been left to run for days or weeks on end, unplug it and wait for two minutes to remove flea power. Power up the equipment and check if refreshing the connection did the trick.

1.2. Move the console closer to the router

Make sure to move your PS5 closer to your router. Additionally, ensure nothing’s interfering with the wireless signal. For example, disconnect all the other devices using the connection, and check if you notice any improvements.

1.3. Use a wired connection

It’s no secret that a wired connection is more stable, reliable and faster than a wireless connection. If you’re experiencing poor signal issues, use a cable connection, and check if the issue is gone.

1.4. Contact your ISP

If the problem persists, and you’re sure that error code CE-105799-1 is caused by network issues, contact your ISP for further help. Ask your ISP to help you open the following ports: TCP: 80, 443, 3478, 3479, 3480 and UDP: 3478, 3479, 49152 to 65535. You may need to go to Network settings, and change your DNS settings as well.

2. Update your console

Check for system updates and install the latest PS5 software version. Go to Settings → System → System Software → System Software Update and Settings → Update System. Restart your console, and check if the error persists.

3. Update your router’s firmware
