Repair the game

Many gamers got Halo Infinite to work again after repairing the game files.

  1. Navigate to Windows Settings.
  2. Then select Apps & Features.
  3. Click on Halo Infinite.

Free up some space

If the hard drive on which Halo Infinite’s save files are located is completely full, you won’t be able to create new save files. Free up some space, restart your computer, and check if you can save your progress.

Halo Infinite Campaign automatically saves your progress

Halo Infinite Campaign relies on its built-in autosave system to save your progress. There is no Save button to manually save your game progress. Rest assured, Halo Infinite regularly saves your progress. When the game creates a new save files, you’ll see a Saving progress notification on the screen.

Save file limitations

If you’re in the middle of a long battle, Halo Infinite usually saves your progress when the combat is over. If you die before reaching a major checkpoint, you’ll lose your progress. As a result, you’ll have to start all over again from the last checkpoint save.
