Playing FIFA with friends is always fun. You can challenge your friends and put their skills to the test.
Unfortunately, many FIFA players complained about not being able to join any of their friends. Sometimes, gamers can’t see their friends on their Friend List and invite them to play together.
If you can’t play FIFA with any of your friends on any game mode, follow the troubleshooting steps below to fix the problem.
What to do if you can’t play FIFA with friends
Make sure you’re friends
Double-check to make sure you and your friends are actually friends on Origin. Then set your status to active/online. Make sure to enable notifications in order to receive invites.
Additionally, power cycle your computer or console, and unplug your router. Wait for one minute, and power on all your devices. Then check if you can play FIFA together.
Make sure you’re on the same platform and game version
Keep in mind that you and your friends must be on the same platform and game version. For example, if you’re on PS5, you’ll need to play the Gen 4 version of the game with a PlayStation 4 player.
Workaround if you’re using different game versions
If you and your friends are using different FIFA versions, transfer the Fifa.exe file from the standard edition to a PC running the Pro or Ultimate edition.
Then launch FIFA through Origin. This workaround should help you play between Standard, Pro, and Ultimate.
Switch to Google’s DNS servers and check NAT Type
Make sure you and your friends are using the same DNS settings. Switch to Google’s DNS servers and check if you can play together.
These are Primary DNS number 8.8.8.8, and secondary DNS number 8.8.4.4.
Also, your friends will need either NAT Type 2 or NAT Type 1 to play. Go to your router configuration settings to check NAT Type.
Don’t use NAT type 3 or strict, you’ll have problems connecting to others. Ask your friends to check their network settings. Do the same on your end and then try again.
Contact EA or submit a support ticket
If the problem persists and you still can’t play FIFA with your friends, contact EAHelp via Twitter. You can also open a case with a live support agent.

I found out how to play fifa friendly with friend.
Please try 1. Apply static ip to your router. Ps4 and xbox (check your mac address on console device and add to your router) 2. Do the port forwarding to ip that you apply and add tcp/udp to your router 3. Add dmz to avoid block connection through router (must be your static ip that you added in no.1)
Note: any router has different set up please find out via google
I played via ps4 so port forwarding for ps4 is TCP : 1935 : 3478-3480 Udp : 3074 : 3478-3479
I had problem with MHW game error. Once i fix all three factors. I was able to play MHW online also fifa friendly with my friend I hope this solution will help you guy.
Mention: you need to fix both you and your friend router.
