Whitelist Farming Simulator in antivirus settings

Make sure your antivirus is not blocking Farming Simulator.

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click on Update & Security (Windows 10) or Privacy & Security (Windows 11).
  3. Click on Windows Security.
  4. Select Virus & threat protection.
  5. Scroll down to Manage ransomware protection.
  6. Click on Allow an app through Controller folder access.
  7. Then click on Add an allowed app.
  8. Use the drop-down menu and select Browse all apps.
  9. Select your Farming Simulator game folder.
    • Note: For many users, the path to follow is this one: Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common.
  10. Select the game’s executable file, and click on Open.
  11. Click again on Add an allowed app and select Browse all apps.
  12. Select the x64 folder.
  13. Select the FarmingSimulatorGame.exe file and hit Open.

Launch Farming Simulator again and check if you’re still getting the same error.
