Fix Farming Simulator stuck on a black screen

How to fix Farming Simulator black screen issues

Disable mods and empty the Shader Cache folder

  1. Move your mods folder to your desktop.
  2. Open File Explorer from the taskbar.
  3. Navigate to DocumentsMy GamesFarming Simulator.
  4. Delete the Game.xml file.
  5. Then open the Shader_Cache folder.
  6. Delete all the files to empty the folder.
  7. Restart Farming Simulator.

Update your graphics driver

  1. Open the Device Manager.
  2. Expand the list of Display Adapters.
  3. Right-click on your graphics driver.
  4. Select Update driver.
  5. Restart your computer and check if the black screen is still there.
  6. If this is the case, right-click again on your graphics driver.
  7. Select Uninstall device.
  8. Restart your computer to automatically install a new driver.

Verify your game files

  1. Go to your Steam Library.
  2. Right-click on Farming Simulator.
  3. Select Properties.
  4. Then click on the Local Files tab.

Disable Steam Cloud
