To change your FIFA 23 commentary language, you need to edit the Locate key in your Registry editor and change its value to the language code of your preferred language.
There are two ways to do that: via Command Prompt or directly in the Registry Editor.
Unfortunately, the EA App doesn’t currently support this option. You can’t change your commentary language from in-game settings.
This means you need to tweak your Registry to get the job done.
You can find the language codes for FIFA 23 at the end of this guide.
Steps to change commentary language in FIFA 23
Use Command Prompt
- Type cmd in the Windows Search bar
- Right-click on Command Prompt
- Select Run as administrator
- Run the following commands:
- reg add “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Sports\FIFA 23” /v Locale /t REG_SZ /d language_code /f
- reg add “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Sports\FIFA 23” /v Locale /t REG_SZ /d language_code /f
Replace language_code with the language code of your preferred language.
For example, if you want to change the FIFA 23 commentary language to French, use the commands below:
- reg add “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Sports\FIFA 23” /v Locale /t REG_SZ /d fr_FR /f
- reg add “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Sports\FIFA 23” /v Locale /t REG_SZ /d fr_FR /f
Use the Registry Editor
- Press the Windows and R keys to open a new Run window
- Type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Sports\FIFA 23
- Double-click on the Locale key
- Change the key’s value to the language code of your preferred language.
- Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EA Sports\FIFA 23
- Add the language code of your preferred language
Launch the EA App, select FIFA 23, click on More options, and select the Repair option. The app will automatically download the new language pack.

- English (US): en_US

- Spanish (Spain): es_ES

- Hungarian: hu_HU
- Norwegian: nb_NO
- Swedish: sv_SE
- Turkish: tr_TR
For example, if you want to the commentary language to be Spanish, use the es_ES language code.
If you’re playing FIFA 23 on Steam, first you need to change the language settings on Steam. Then, you need to go through the steps above too.
