How Colossal Swords work in Elden Ring
Ultra Greatswords can be quite awkward to handle, especially if your character doesn’t have enough Strength and Dexterity. Make sure to level up these stats first before picking a Colossal Sword.
At the same time, Ultra Greatswords are extremely effective. They hit really hard and can send enemies flying. They stagger enemies like nothing else and are highly efficient against bosses.
Disadvantages to using Colossal Swords
- They’re big and slow
- The recovery time after swinging your sword leaves you open for hits
- They’re hard to get, you usually need to defeat powerful bosses to get your hands on a Colossal Sword
