Elden Ring: Should I let Fia hug me?

Elden-Ring-let-Fia-hug-you

Fia is a huggy NPC. She could hold you in her arms all day long. Well, that’s not possible because you have some boss killing to do. But there’s something strange about Fia’s hugs… What is it? Let’s find out!

Should I let Fia hold me in her arms?

You should let Fia hold you if you want to get the Baldachin’s Blessing. This unique item lets you spend 20 FP to raise your Poise during combat making it harder for enemies to break your defense. At the same time, Fia’s hugs will drain 5% of your HP. That’s the price to pay for the Baldachin’s Blessing.

While Fia’s hugs reduce only a small amount of HP, that can make a huge difference in challenging encounters. You need every drop of HP you can get when fighting fierce bosses such as Godrick.

The good news is that the debuff is not permanent. To get your HP back, simply consume the Baldachin’s Blessing. That’s the antidote.

Is the Baldachin’s Blessing worth it?

The Baldachin’s Blessing increases your Poise allowing you to withstand prolonged assaults from enemies. But the Blessing is not an essential item. Not all the classes in Elden Ring actually need it. It all depends on your playstyle.

The Baldachin’s Blessing can give you an extra edge in battle, especially if your character is not wearing a heavy armor. Hybrid classes such as Astrologers and Confessors can use the Blessing to boost their defense.

You can only store one Baldachin’s Blessing in your inventory at a time. You’ll need to return to Fia and let her hold you again to get a new Blessing.

She’ll hold you in her arms as often as necessary. Simply return to the Roundtable Hold to replenish your Baldachin’s Blessing inventory.
