Killing NPCs in Elden Ring is a great way to get your hands on some amazing weapons. For example, many players prefer to kill merchants NPCs and have all shops in one place.
But what about Edgar? Is killing him a good idea? When is the best time to kill him? Let’s find out!
Should I kill Edgar in Elden Ring?
You should kill Edgar after completing his questline. He’ll drop a Banished Knights Halberd +8. Kill him at the Revengers’ Shack in Liurnia after finishing his questline. If you kill him early, you’ll botch your quest.
The Banished Knights Halberd that he drops is an excellent weapon. It doesn’t require high Strength which makes it perfect for a normal swordsman looking for an upgrade.
After his daughter, Irina, dies, Edgar will want to revenge her death. The problem is that nobody knows who killed her. Edgar then turns into Edgar the Invader. He’ll invade all the worlds killing anyone in his path just to get his revenge.
As you can see, sooner or later you’re bound to fight him. Kill him and get his weapon. That way, Irina and Edgar can be together in death.
Edgar is not a particularly strong enemy. You should be able to finish him off pretty quickly.
