If you go to Limgrave, you’ll find some intriguing glowing footprints on the beach. But what’s making these silver footprints in Elden Ring? Let’s find out!

What are the glowing footsteps in Elden Ring?

The glowing footsteps in Elden Ring are made by invisible scarabs. The footprints indicate the scarabs are nearby. Try hitting them where you estimate they will be based on the glitter trail they leave behind. Invisible scarabs usually move in a circle and drop Ashes of War.

Use weapons that allow for wide swinging and horizontal slashes, such as the GreatSword. Try to memorize the path and then swing your weapon as hard as you can when you estimate the glowing footsteps are about to show up in front of you.

Chasing the scarabs by following the silver footprints is not a good idea. These creatures move quite rapidly. Your best shot is anticipating their moves. The footprints always follow a pattern. All you need to do is decipher it and then anticipate the scarabs’ next moves.

Invisible scarabs are easy to kill. A single hit is enough to kill them instantly. Don’t forget to collect the Ashes of War they leave behind.

Did you manage to anticipate the moves of the invisible scarabs from Limgrave? Let me know in the comments below.
