After reaching the Chapel of Anticipation, you’ll encounter the Grafted Scion. That’s the first boss you’ll meet in Elden Ring. The bad news is that the tutorial boss is way too strong for your character. That’s why many players decide to avoid direct confrontation with the Grafted Scion and move on.
If you skipped the first boss of Elden Ring early in the game, you can get back to him later. Keep on reading this guide to learn how you can do that.
How can I get back to the first boss in Elden Ring?
To get back to the first boss in Elden Ring, go to the Four Belfries area in Liurnia of the Lakes. Go to the fourth belfry and pick up the key that allows you to unlock the teleports from the first three belfries. Get the key, and unlock the teleport of the second tower to go back to the Chapel of Anticipation and take on the first Elden Ring boss.
How can I beat the Grafted Scion in Elden Ring?
To beat the Grafted Scion, you need to use an attack-retreat pattern. After the boss makes an attack, jump attack, hit him two or three times, and then retreat. Repeat these steps to chimp away at his health.
Make sure to stay away from his swinging swords. After reaching 50 percent HP, the Grafted Scion will cover two of his swords in magic. Stay away from those magic-clad swords as they can deal a lot of damage.
After beating the Grafted Scion in Elden Ring, you’ll earn the Ornamental Straight Sword and Golden Beast Crest Shield. Make sure your character is strong enough to carry and use these weapons otherwise they’ll be sitting in your inventory.
