What do Dragon Hearts do in Elden Ring?
You can eat Dragon Hearts to transfer the power of the dragons you killed onto you. This will also change the color of your eyes, making them glow yellow. You can also trade Dragon Hearts to learn powerful Dragon Spells.
How do I get Dragon Hearts in Elden Ring?
The only way to obtain Dragon Hearts is to kill the dragons that drop them in combat. Not all dragons drop Dragon Hearts when killed. The following dragons drop Dragon Hearts: Flying Dragon Agheel, Elder Dragon Greyoll, Decaying Dragon Ekzykes, Glinstone Dragon Adula, the three Moonlight Dragons, Great Wyrm Theodorix, Magma Wyrm Makar, and others.
Killing the Elder Dragon Greyoll, aka the Giant Dragon, grants you five Dragon Hearts.
Taking on a dragon is a very difficult task. They have a lot of HP, so get ready for a long and difficult fight.

You can unlock a limited set of Dragon powers at the Church of Dragon Communion. To unlock more Dragon powers, go to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. You can unlock all the power available at the Church of Dragon Communion at the Cathedral of Dragon Communion but not the other way around.
