How can I defeat the Magma Wyrm Makar boss in Elden Ring?
To beat the Magma Wyrm Makar boss in Elden Ring, reposition quickly and stay to the right of its sword-arm. Then spam Rock Slide and Meteorite spells to deal physical damage and break its stance. Target the tail and body, go for the head only after dealing significant damage to its HP.
Use this strategy to defeat Magma Wyrm Makar in Elden Ring
- Work your way to Level 50 or higher before taking on this boss.
- If you’re using a Melee build, use a +6 or +7 weapon.
- Use the Flamedrake Talisman to improve damage negation from fire attacks. You can also use spells such as Flame Fortification and Flame, Protect Me to increase damage negation to fire.
- Prioritize HP, use a Flask of Crimson Tears to recover health. You may want to upgrade your flasks to have 4 Mana charges, and 3 HP charges to ensure you don’t run out of FP.
- Summon Spirit Jellyfish to distract him (Jelly can float over magma).
- Stay light on your feet, and reposition quickly.
- Stay to the right of his sword-arm at all times.
- Target the tail and body. Stay around its tail or belly, go up for the head only when you’re sure you can deal damaging hits.
- Use the Sling Rock spell when you have enough distance. That should deal some damage. Then, spam Glintstone Pebble.
- The Rock and Meteor spell combo will work wonders. Add the Carian Slicer spell on top of that and the boss is doomed.
