How to Fix Resources Load Error in Dave the Diver

Get the Latest Updates and Reboot Your PC

Outdated game versions may lead to stability issues. Make sure you’re running the latest Dave the Diver version on your machine.

  1. Open the Steam client
  2. Go to Library
  3. Click on Dave the Diver
  4. Hit the Update button if available
  5. Close Steam

Reboot your PC to apply the changes.

Run Dave the Diver as an Administrator

Running Dave the Diver and Steam with admin privileges can help avoid user account control issues that could trigger Resources Load errors.

  1. Right-click on your Dave the Diver shortcut
  2. Select Properties
  3. Click on the Compatibility tab
  4. Check the Run this program as an administrator checkbox
  5. Save the changes.

  2. Click on the first result
  3. Check the checkbox that reads Turn off Windows Defender Firewall

Reboot your computer, launch Dave the Diver again, and check if the error is gone.
