How to Fix The Witcher 3 Crashes on PC

1. Disable SLI/Crossfire

3. Temporarily disable your antivirus, it may be blocking your game

7. Run both Visual C++ files. They should be located in the game directory under: Steamapps > Common > The Witcher 3 > _CommonRedist > vcredist. Install absolutely all the executables that you find under this directory, even the x86 ones.
8. Delete some of the game saves that you don’t really need. Too many saves may lead to crashes. To delete the Witcher 3 saves, you can either use the Delete option in the Load Game menu or straight in the folder where the saves are stored: (…)Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves.

How to Fix The Witcher 3 Crashes on Xbox One

The game crashes less frequently on the Xbox One than on PC. Here are a few ideas on how to fix that:

1. Restart the game
2. Reboot your console
3. Remove your profile and then recreate it:
   • Press the Xbox button to launch the guide -> go to System -> Settings -> Account -> Remove accounts
   • Select the account that’s experiencing the crashes -> select Remove
   • Press the Xbox button again to launch the guide
   • Select your gamerpic > scroll down and select Add new
   • Enter your email address and password to access the account that you removed
   • Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your account
4. Launch the game again to check if the issue persists
5. Clean the local save:
   • Press the Xbox bottom to launch the guide -> go to My games & apps
   • Select the Witcher 3 -> press the Menu button on the controller
   • Select Manage game -> scroll to the right, select Saved Data -> select the saved data  available under your gamertag -> press A on your controller
   • Select Delete to remove the local save of the game
   • Restart your console and launch the game again.
6. Reset your console:
   • Press the Xbox button to open the guide -> go to Settings -> All Settings ->System
   • Go to Console info & updates -> select Reset console -> select Reset and keep my games & apps to  reset the OS and delete corrupted data and keep your games or apps.
