Fixed: Vanguard Anti-Cheat Has Encountered An Error

Troubleshoot Vanguard has encountered an error

Fix 1 – Restart VGC

  1. Open the Task Manager
  2. Locate and end all the Riot and Valorant processes by right-clicking on them and selecting End task
  3. Close your Task Manager
  4. Launch a new Run window by pressing the Windows key and R key at the same time
  5. Open the Services App by typing services.msc
  6. Locate the VGC service
  7. Right-click on it and select Propertiesvgc properties windows 10
  8. Set startup type to Automatic
  9. Hit Apply and OK

Fix 2 – Disable full screen optimizations and run as admin

  1. Go to the Local Disk and locate the Riot Games folder
  2. Open the folder
  3. Open Valorant
  4. Open your bin folder

  7. Open the Win64 folder
  8. Right-click on your Valorant executable file
  9. Select Properties
  10. Click on the Compatibility tab

Fix 3 – Update your computer

Install the latest Windows and driver updates on your computer to make sure your machine is fully optimized for running Vanguard and Valorant.

Fix 4 – Clean boot your computer

Fix 5 – Run SFC

  2. Enter the sfc /scannow command and hit Enter
  3. Wait until the verification is complete.

Fix 6 – Uninstall Vanguard
