At the time of writing, Valorant closed beta is no longer available, but there are plenty of questions gamers still have about this title which is expected to be one of the most popular games of 2020 — if not the most popular.
In this guide, we’ll answer the following questions:
- Can you keep Valorant Beta skins?
- Do you get to keep Valorant closed beta rewards?
- What happens to Valorant points bought during beta?
The closed beta was only available to players in Europe, Canada, United States, Turkey, Russia, and CIS countries.
Let’s talk about those three questions on our list now.
Can you keep Valorant Beta skins?
Valorant Beta skins are not transferred to the final version of the game. So, you won’t be able to keep your skins after launch. Your closed Beta progress won’t carry over to launch.
Do you get to keep Valorant closed beta rewards?
Players who participated in Valorant’s closed Beta are not allowed to keep their rewards in the release version of the game. This is because you can’t transfer your Beta progress over to the full version.
As Riot explained:
We weren’t kidding about things coming to an end. In order to start the playing field off in earnest, progress and content will be wiped when the Closed Beta comes to a close.
What happens to Valorant points bought during Beta?
When Valorant gets released, you will get back all your points plus a 20% bonus. This applies to all the players, irrespective of the number of points they purchased.
Riot explains that:
When published, you will receive all your VALORANT points back, along with a 20% bonus as a thank you for liking our skins in development and the unfinished shop. Small example: If you buy 10,000 VALORANT points in the closed beta, you get 12,000 VALORANT points in the full version (this bonus also applies to the bonus for the purchase of large quantities of points).
As you can see, the only thing you can transfer from Valorant Beta to the full release are your points. Everything else will be deleted.
And now you know.
