Error 59 is a mysterious Valorant error that’s not even listed on Riot’s official list of error codes (at the time of writing).
Valorant Error 59 – What Does It Actually Mean?
This error occurs when users are unable to log into the game. Judging by the reports we saw from gamers, error 59 indicates Valorant’s servers are down. In other words, your computer can’t connect to the game server because there is no response.
This can be due to two possible reasons: the servers are down for maintenance or they are overloaded and unresponsive.
It seems that the second explanation is the most plausible one at this moment. Riot already confirmed on their official Twitter page that their EU servers are undergoing emergency maintenance at the moment due to instability problems. Their team estimates this issue should be solved in an hour or a couple of hours.
We're currently in an emergency maintenance for EU to deal with the instability they were seeing earlier. We hope to have this resolved within the hour.

Most likely, error 59 is related to server downtime. The bad news is that players can’t really do anything about it. All they can do is wait until Riot has fixed this server-side issue and the servers come back online.
So, if you’re getting error 59, don’t do anything. And especially, don’t reinstall the game or perform a system restore on your computer. Take a break and wait until Riot confirms their servers are up and running again.
And if maintenance work is taking longer than expected, be patient. It’s best for Riot to take their time, and get it right first try than having to go down multiple times for fixing the same problem. After all, it’s launch day, and of course there will be some problems or many problems, for that matter. Just trust Riot and their rich experience in the video gaming industry.
