If your Twitch followed channels disappeared, and you don’t have the slightest clue why that happened, keep on reading this guide to learn what might have caused this problem and how you can fix it.
Maybe your Twitch account is showing that you’re not following anyone. But when you visit a streamer’s channel you know you’re following, it shows that you actually are following that channel.
What To Do If Twitch Followed Channels Disappeared
Fix 1 – Refresh the Following list
This quick method helped many users to fix this problem. Simply refresh the Following list, and all the channels you’re following should be back.
To refresh the cache of the Following page, press CTRL+F5 simultaneously and the followed channels should come back.
Fix 2 – Disable your browser extensions
Browser extensions might interfere with the scripts running on the websites you’re visiting. Ad-blockers are known to block certain features, especially on websites that rely on ads.
Since most of the channels you’re following probably run ads, perhaps your ad-blockers also blocked other scripts as well alongside ad scripts.
Turn off your browser extensions, close the browser and launch it again. Check if the list of the followed channels is visible again.
Fix 3 – Log in to Twitch using another browser
Simply logging into your Twitch account from a different browser may refresh the data on the followed channels. You can then sign out and go back to your default browser to check if this simple workaround solved the problem for you.
Fix 4 – Drag the Twitch tab to your main monitor
This solution applies to users who utilize a dual-monitor configuration for playing games or watching Twitch videos.
If you have a larger monitor and a smaller one, drag the Twitch tab from the smaller monitor to the larger one. This should restore your followed channels. If you move the Twitch tab back to the small monitor, the list of the channels you’re following should remain visible.
If you use two monitors of the same size, simply drag the Twitch tab from one monitor to the another and check if this solution worked for you.
We hope something helped.
I’m retired and I watch Twitch a lot and lost my Followed channels. Here’s what caused it. My eyesight is going so I went into Settings-Accessibility-Text Size and increased it by two clicks. The next time I opened Twitch my Followed Channels (left side panel) were just icons. Everything I tried from within Twitch didn’t work. Then, for no good reason, I went back and changed my Text Size back to “normal”, i.e. what it used to be. Eureka!! My Followed Channels full text descriptions reappeared like magic. To test this ‘fix’ I opened Accessibility settings on one monitor and had Twitch running on my other monitor. As soon as I increased Text Size I immediately saw Followed Channels change to icons only. I reduced Text Size to normal and watched my Followed Channels display full text descriptions. Hope this helps somebody else. Be good and stay safe out there.
