To acquire Mold in The Sims 4, you need to enable the Mold lot challenge. However, Managing mold in your Sim’s living space is no small feat.
An unattended allergenic mold pile can swiftly transform into a toxic mold pile, and then into a deadly one.
To clean mold, you have three options:
- Clean Mold
- Deploy Mold B-Gone Bomb for 750 Simoleons
- Destroy Mold Pile with fire
The first option is a pretty straightforward, hands-on approach to tackle the mold issue. Your Sims will get down on their knees and start scrubbing that mold off the floor.
If you’ve got the Simoleons to spare, the second option provides a quick and safe solution to clear out the mold.
The third option comes with its own set of risks. Uncontrollable fires might break out during attempts to eliminate mold with fire.
Your Sims should be prepared to put out the fire just in case. As a quick reminder, firefighters don’t always do their job.
Disable Mold for Peace of Mind
Managing mold is quite a task. That’s why you have the option to not use this feature or disable it in game settings if it’s already on.
If you fail to clean mold, that allergenic mold pile will quickly turn into a toxic mold pile.
There are three different scenarios for mold severity: Allergenic, Toxic, and Deadly.
Allergenic Mold Piles
Allergenic Mold piles cause Sporeosis. Your Sims will become Dazed for three hours after getting near those nasty mold piles.
Toxic Mold Piles
You can still eliminate Toxic Mold piles with some effort and prevent deadly events.
Toxic mold is a severe issue, but it’s not the end of the world.
Deadly Mold Piles
When you notice mold mushrooms on your mold pile, you know that’s a deadly mold pile. If your Sim touches it, they may get a nasty mold infection and die.
Yes, mold death is real! You’ve been warned!
