Patching errors seem to be quite common in Teamfight Tactics. But there’s no need to panic and uninstall the game completely and switch to another game. Use the potential solutions listed in this guide and you should be able to quickly resume playing.
Fixing Errors While Patching in TFT Mobile
1. Clear your app data
Every app and game you installed on your phone stores specific files in the app cache. They do that in order to load faster next time you launch them. But all that app and game cache can clog your phone causing apps and games to misbehave. Obviously, the solution is to clear the cache.
How to clear app cache on Android:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Storage
- Open the App Manager settings page or select the Other Apps option depending on your Android version
- Select all the apps one by one and hit the Clear cache button.
Rest assured, this method won’t delete login data or saved games.
2. Force-close background apps
We said that before and we’ll say it again: if you want to enjoy a bug-free and lag-free gaming experience on any device, you need to close the processes running in the background. Since you’re not actively using them while gaming, there’s no point in letting them use your system resources.
On most Android phones, to close the background apps, you need to tap the left-hand corner button to bring all the running processes to the screen. Simply swipe app to close them. If this method doesn’t work, go to the support page of your phone model for specific instructions.
3. Update your phone and game
Get the latest system updates for your phone. These updates often improve the overall performance of your device. Don’t forget to install the latest Teamfight Tactics game updates as well. Riot has a list of all the known issues affecting the game and if you’re lucky, the latest updates may patch the specific issues that you’re experiencing.
We hope something works.
