Every wedding event revolves around two main elements: the bride’s dress and the wedding cake. As a quick reminder, the wedding cake symbolizes good luck and prosperity. If you have My Wedding Stories installed, there are tens of wedding cake types that you can choose from.
All you need to know about wedding cakes in The Sims 4
There are three main options to get a wedding cake in Sims 4: bake it yourself, order it online via the computer, or purchase it from the patisserie stands in Tartosa.
If you click on the patisserie stands, your Sims can test taste the wedding cake samples. They can then choose the type of cake they want to have at their wedding.
If you want to bake the wedding cake yourself, click on the stove and select Make Wedding Cake. Make sure you have all the ingredients you need and start baking the cake.
To order a wedding cake online, click on the computer and select Purchase wedding cake. Then, select the wedding cake you want to have at your Sim’s wedding.
There are nine different shapes of wedding cakes available in Sims 4:
- Cupcake Display
- Round Four-Tiered
- Square Design Round Four-Tiered
- Beachy Four-Tiered
- Round Two-Tiered
- Heart Two-Tiered
- Hexagon Three-Tiered
- Pillow Two-Tiered
- Square Three-Tiered
Within each of those there is a variable number of colors and flavors.
Wedding cake toppers
If you choose to bake your own wedding cake, you can also add a unique topper. Click on the cake, and then click on Select New Cake Topper. Explore the available toppers, and select the one that complements your wedding cake. To make a really special wedding cake, select the Cowplant topper.

- Stars
You can also inscribe wedding cake toppers if you want to add a personal touch to your Sims’ wedding cake.
After exchanging vows, click on the wedding cake and then select Pick up serving. Once you do that, other Sims can start eating cake as well. By the way, you can also have your Sims feed a piece of cake to their spouse.
