If you get a random phone call from your boy, Kyle, let him come over to your place. This will unlock the First Visitors milestoneĀ in The Sims 4 Growing Together.
Kyle is part of Growing Together’s temporary stay system. Random Sims will come to visit you and stay in your house for a few days.
Click on your calendar to check how long they’ll stay.
Meet new Sims
The stay-over events are great for meeting new Sims.
They’ll always add something new to your story. Their visit will trigger all kinds of prompts and open the possibility to explore different paths.
Family friends may suggest coming over too.
Maybe they’re just missing you or are going through a tough time and need someplace to stay.
Distant family members may decide to pay you a visit in an attempt to reconnect.
Create a stay-over event via the calendar
You can also initiate a temporary stay through the calendar. You can select the length of the stay from 1 to 6 days.
For example, if your Sims already have a large family and they’re expecting a new baby, you can invite the grandparents to help you for a while.
However, if you choose the Relax option, and ask your grandparents to relax, they won’t help you around the house while staying over.
You can invite any Sim you have a good relationship with to stay over at your place.
There is no age restriction when it comes to inviting Sims to stay over. You can invite kids, teenagers, adults, and elders, everyone is welcome.
Just make sure there’s enough room for everyone to sleep.

The suitcases that your visitors bring along are available in the Sims Catalog. You can place them in your house and they act like dressers.
As you can see, there are two ways to start a stay-over event: via the calendar or in-game prompts.
If you want to initiate a stay-over event, go to your calendar and create the event manually.
If you prefer the element of surprise, accept the random stay-over requests when they pop up on your screen.
The best part is that stay-over events don’t conflict with existing calendar events.
As a matter of fact, your guests can tag along and join the events.
