Many Sims 4 players avoid dining out because food never comes. This bug has been plaguing the Dine Out game pack for years. But I recently came across a very handy workaround that you can use to get the meal brought out immediately.
Fix: Waiters not serving food when dining out in The Sims 4
To avoid waiting for endless hours in restaurants until waiters deliver food to your Sims, simply Shift-click on the table and the mean will be brought out instantly. Keep in mind that you need TwistedMexi’s AllCheats mod to use this workaround. You need to have the testing cheats active.
This particular workaround is very useful, especially when you have multiple Sims waiting with different orders for each Sim. Not to mention that being able to speed up the service process is a life saver for date nights.
Many Sims 4 players complained the waiters either never get the food from the tray or they get it but immediately drop it on the floor. Sometimes, there’s no sign of your order even if ten hours have passed since you told the waiter what you’ll have.
If my Sims go out to dinner, normally they won’t get out of there before 6 the next morning.
For this reason, it’s not uncommon for customers to be close to the point of starvation. But you can avoid all that with the help of the “Shift-click on the table” workaround.
