While many players enjoy the challenge and excitement of multiple births in their Sims 4 game, others may find it overwhelming to manage the needs of two or three babies at once.
So, how do you decrease the likelihood of your Sims having twins or triplets? Let’s find out if that’s possible!
How do I stop having twins and triplets in The Sims 4?
To prevent your Sims from having twins and triplets in The Sims 4, install the MCCC mod and change the number of children before your Sims give birth.
Keep in mind that MCCC is only available on computers.
Alternatively, you can wait until your Sims give birth and use the CAS.fulleditmode cheat to delete unwanted babies.
But what if you won’t want to use mods or resort to radical solutions such as deleting unwanted babies?
Well, you can try to avoid situations that boost the chances of having twins or triplets.
How to reduce the chance of having twins and triplets in The Sims 4
While you can’t prevent twins or triplets unless you use MCCC, you can try to avoid the situations or triggers that make Sims more likely to have twins and triplets.
Don’t get the Fertile trait
You can purchase the Fertile reward trait for 3,000 Satisfaction Points. This trait increases the odds of conceiving twins or triplets. If both parents have the Fertile trait, this further increases the odds of having twins or triplets.
So, if you don’t want your Sims to have twins or triplets, stay away from this trait.
If you have City Living, disable the On Ley Line lot trait. If you try for a baby on a lot with this trait, your Sims will conceive twins.
The same is valid if you have the Vampires pack. Stay away from the On a Dark Ley Line lot trait.
If you have Spa Day, don’t get a fertility massage. The Flirty buff that Sims will get after a fertility massage increases the odds of conceiving twins and triplets.
If you have Outdoor Retreat, don’t get the Elixir of Fertility. This special potion increases the chances of having twins and triplets.
Happy Simming!
