Are you ready to meet an updated version of The Sims 4 base game NPCs, all thanks to the power of AI?
I used AI to generate images based on the physical appearance and personality traits of these beloved characters.
I simply fed the data into the Dezgo AI image generator and utilized the Epic Diffusion 1.1 general model.
Surprisingly, some of the AI-generated images closely resembled the actual NPCs from The Sims 4.
Read on to see the amazing results for yourself!
The original NPCs are on the left side of the image, while the AI-generated portrait is on the right.

What I noticed after playing with the Dezgo AI image generator
Be specific and use short descriptions and sentences. That’s probably the most important thing to remember when writing text prompts for AI tools.
Feed the tool with as many details as possible and don’t be afraid to add modifiers. Include details like age, gender, hair color, eye color, and body shape when describing the subject.
For example, I initially forgot to mention the age of Bella Goth and I got the portrait of a teenage girl instead of that of an adult.
Include personality traits in your text prompts to describe the mood of your subject. Include hobbies to provide the AI tool with more context.
For instance, Liberty Lee has the Bookworm, and Quick Learner traits and the Nerd Brain aspiration. After mentioning these traits in the text prompt, the AI tool used a pair of glasses to generate Liberty’s portrait.
Equally important, use language that is easily understandable by the AI model. Avoid using ambiguous words, and long, convoluted sentences. Keep it simple.
Use references to real-life people to help the AI understand what you’re looking for. For example, you can say “Make Bella Goth look like Morticia Adams”.
What do you think about the AI-generated images above?
I’m pretty sure that AI tools will soon revolutionize the way video game characters are created.
Do you agree with this or do you think AI lacks the creativity and intuition of human artists?

⇒ Note:
I prefer using the Dezgo image generator over OpenAI’s DALL-E tool because it doesn’t have issues generating the subjects’ eyes. DALL-E struggles to create eyes.
