If you can’t give toddlers food or drink while they’re in a high chair or you can’t even put them in it, you’re not the only one experiencing these issues.
If one parent puts the toddler in the chair but another Sims takes them out of the chair before the meal is served, have the other Sim do something else.
If adult Sims are busy doing something else, they won’t take the toddler out of the high chair.
If your adult Sims don’t do anything when you click on the high chair and select Feed Toddler, click on the toddler instead. Use the pie menu to select the “Feed Toddler” option.
Alternatively, you can click on the refrigerator and select the option to feed the toddler.
If your cues to feed the toddler are being canceled or ignored, drag the food to the floor and instruct the toddler to grab a serving.
If your toddler is very hungry, you can leave the food on a counter and use the Call to Meal interaction. Your toddler will quickly help themselves.
Just make sure they can reach the top of the counter.
If high chairs stop working appear after installing the latest Sims 4 patches, disable your mods and check if the issue persists. If the problem is gone, this indicates one of your mods is outdated.
Taking care of toddlers can be really complicated in certain situations.
As a workaround, you can choose the Independent trait for your toddler. Toddlers with the Independent trait gain skills when left alone and autonomously look for food when they’re hungry.
They love their freedom and don’t like taking orders from anyone.
