Horse Competitions in The Sims 4

There are 15 horse competitions, 5 Master Horse Competitions, and one Ultimate Horse Competition.

Each competition judges two skills of your horses.

In The Ultimate Competition, all four skills of your horses, as well as your Sim’s Horse Riding skill, will be judged.

How to Enter Horse Competitions in The Sims 4

To enter a horse competition in The Sims 4, click on a Community Board and select Enter Competition.

Alternatively, you can click on the Equestrian Centre and select the option that reads Enter Competition.

You can enter horse competitions daily between 7 AM and 7 PM.

Train to Win Horse Competitions

There are three things you need to do to win horse competitions in The Sims 4:

  • Max out your Sim’s horse-riding skill
  • Max out your horse’s Agility, Jumping, Endurance, Temperament
  • Build a strong bond with your horse

To max out your Sim’s horse-riding skill, spend as much time as possible riding your horse.

Temperament

To improve your horse’s Temperament, interact with them using friendly interactions.

Horses with a high Temperament skill perform better in Show Jumping, Western Pleasure, and the Ultimate Horse Championship Competitions.

Agility

To level up your horse’s Agility, train with Horse Barrels.

Horses exhibiting high Agility excel in Barrel Racing, Western Pleasure, and the Ultimate Horse Championship Competitions.

Jumping

To max out your horse’s Jumping skill, train them using the Horse Jumps

Horses with a high Jumping skill perform better at Show Jumping, and the Ultimate Horse Championship Competitions.

Endurance

To max out your horse’s Endurance skill, take them on long rides.

A horse with high Endurance excels at the Endurance Race, Show Jumping, and the Ultimate Horse Championship Competitions.

Building a strong bond with your horse in The Sims 4 is essential for winning competitions.

It improves your horse’s overall performance, responsiveness, and mood during events.
