As an interior designer, your Sim will get various gigs ranging from decorating a single room to adding an additional level to their client’s house.
To find out what your client wants, talk to them and ask them about their taste in decor.
Each gig comes with its own set of restrictions. Think of them as a set of pre-defined rules that limit what your Sim can do inside the client’s house.
For example, sometimes your Sim may not be allowed to change the floor tiles or paint the walls in a different color.
To check the restrictions for the current gig, enter Build Mode and open the gig information panel on the left corner of the screen.
If you find renovation restrictions way too annoying, there is something you can do to get rid of them.
How to remove renovation restrictions in The Sims 4
To remove renovation restrictions in the Sims 4 Dream Home Decorator career, go into Live Mode, enable cheats and enter the bb.enablefreebuild command. Go back into Build Mode and the renovation restrictions should be gone.
Keep in mind that using this cheat will automatically remove your budget. To get it back, navigate to Manage World and go back to your world.
