Some Sims 4 game packs leave much to be desired performance-wise. One such example is Dine Out. Unfortunately, this game pack is still buggy even to this day. It has a strange early access stability. For example, waiters don’t serve food right away, and you need to wait for 8-10 hours for food to arrive at your table. Oftentimes, chefs won’t even enter the restaurant and do their job.
EA and Maxis have squashed a lot of Dine Out bugs since the game was released. For instance, it’s much faster to eat and get served than it was at the beginning. However, the devs still have a lot of work ahead of them to make the game pack smoother.

Sims don’t want to stay seated
It takes a lot of time and effort to get your Sims to stay seated. Check if there is a source of music on the lot. Both the customers and employees will go and dance to it. Remove the music source, and your Sims should stay seated. Remove distractions, avoid mirrors in bathrooms, reachable stereos, speakers, and TVs as they can cause Sims to get up on their own.
Additionally, make sure other needs are in the green before booking a table. Then, temporarily turn off autonomy until your Sims sit down at the table.
Sims eat their food only half-way
Sims rarely finish their food. They often eat their food only half-way and then abandon it completely. This glitch mainly affects player controlled Sims and occurs when Sims finish their drink first. Simply tell your Sims to finish their food once they stop.
Clumsy and lazy waiters
The game uses randomly generated Sims as restaurant employees. The bad news is that sometimes, they have traits that are a recipe for disaster. For example, the game may generate waiters with the Clumsy trait which will drop food when serving it. That’s actually the trait that causes most issues, followed by Lazy.
To solve this problem, go to Manage Households and delete the waiters that have the Clumsy trait. This will force the game to generate new waiters, and they usually have a different set of traits.
Use mods to fix Dine Out bugs
