If you joined PUBG only recently, you may have noticed that many players often lean. In most cases, they choose to lean to the right or to the left.
If you, just like other players, wondered why people do that, you’ve come to the right place. There’s a good reason why people lean and I’ll tell you everything you need to know about this strategy.
Why do players lean when shooting in PUBG?
Long story short, PUBG players lean to throw off your aim, especially if you are trying to headshot them. As a result, you are forced to adjust your aim again and this buys them time to hide, run away or shoot you.
By leaning, they make it harder for you to shoot them. If you think about it, leaning helps you to become a smaller target and less body is exposed to potential shots. Therefore, your enemies have to work harder to get a clear aim.
So, leaning is actually an evasive maneuver. Once you leaned, it’s pretty difficult for enemies to predict or to guess where your head will be. In this manner, the chances of them getting a headshot suddenly decrease.
At the same time, leaning helps you to control gun recoil more easily. So, when recoil goes up, your enemies will hopefully miss the head.
There are also some players who confirm that leaning helps them to take down moving targets more easily.
Leaning and cheating
Many players first thought that leaning is an indicator of cheating. Indeed, cheaters may use particular codes that cause their characters to lean from left to right in an unpredictable manner.
However, leaning is not always a synonym for cheating. Many players actively use leaning techniques to make it more difficult for other gamers to get a clear aim.
