Frey, the hero of Forspoken is a highly-skilled magician and acrobat. She can unlock incredible skills and abilities that allow her to quickly navigate the world of Athia and defeat enemies.
Here’s a list of the skills and abilities you can unlock in this amazing game.
What skills and abilities can Frey unlock in Forspoken?
Magic
There are four types of Magic that Frey can use in Forspoken:
- Purple Magic (Earth-based Magic)
- Red Magic (Fire-based Magic)
- Blue Magic (Water-based Magic)
- Green Magic (Light-based Magic)
Each type of magic comes with its own set of offensive and defensive spells that Frey can use to attack enemies or protect herself from incoming attacks.
Level up her Magic skills to unlock new spells.
Frey doesn’t rely on knives, spears, or guns. The only power she relies on is Magic.
By the way, Frey only has access to Magic thanks to Cuff, her sentient bracelet.
Flow
Flow allows Frey to dash through the world and automatically avoid small obstacles such as rocks and walls.
To enable Frey’s Flow skill, hold the circle button on your PS5 controller.
This skill uses a lot of Stamina. This means you can’t use it continuously. After a while, you’ll have to stop to recharge your Stamina.
Use Flow to cover long distances.
Unfortunately, Frey can’t climb up tall buildings using Flow alone. You need to add other moves to her skillset to climb up tall structures.
Float
You can use Float to manipulate gravity and soften falls.
To use this skill, hold the X button while in the air. Frey will land gently at a controlled speed.
You can use this parkour ability to bridge large gaps or leap from building to building.
Glide
The Glide ability lets Frey skim across the surface of lakes, and rivers. Press the circle button to use this option.
Use Glide to avoid teethed monsters lurking beneath the water’s surface.
This ability automatically activates when you use Flow near a body of water.
Use it when fighting monsters lurking in lakes, rivers, and seas.
Rush
The Rush ability allows Frey to move at a higher speed. You can combine Flow and Rush to move further and faster for much longer.
To use the Rush ability, press the circle button on your controller when you notice flames emanating from Frey. This visual clue indicates the Rush option is available.
Use Rush to conserve Stamina.
Shimmy
The Shimmy ability allows Frey to accelerate and leap forward.
To use Shimmy, press the X button on your controller. To use this option again, press X again when she lands.
Shimmy is a handy move that allows you to conserve stamina. You can use this skill to go farther than you’d normally be able to with Flow alone.
Soar
Soar is an ability that lets Frey do multiple jumps in quick succession.
You can use this skill to go on top of really tall structures and reach areas otherwise inaccessible.
This is a key parkour skill that you need to master as quickly as possible.
Scale
The Scale ability allows Frey to launch herself into the air. You can use this move to land on top of a relatively tall structure.
Zip
The Zip ability lets Frey launch a magical tether that pulls her forward.
To use Zip, press the square button on your controller. Target the wall or structure you want your magical grappling hook to attach to and watch Frey get pulled forward at incredible speeds.
To help Frey stay alive, use her Magic and Parkour skills wisely, and don’t forget to take advantage of enemy weaknesses.
Enjoy the game!
