What does error 54 mean?
Valorant error code 54 indicates that a content service failure has occured and the game was unable to retrieve content from the game’s servers. As a result, players are unable to connect to the platform.
Error 54 can also occur when there’s an unexpected server issue such as technical problems or unplanned outage.
How to Fix Valorant Error 54
On their official support page, Riot Games suggested that players can quickly fix this error by restarting the Riot Client.
So, follow Riot’s general recommendation and restart the Riot client to see if this solution solves the problem.
Restart your computer as well. If you haven’t unplugged your modem for a few weeks, consider doing that as well. Restarting your devices removes temporary files and scripts and can often speed them up.
When error 54 appears on the screen, don’t go into any hasty or drastic action. Most of the time, this is only a temporary problem whereby your computer could not connect to the game platform. Oftentimes, waiting a few minutes and playing another game in the meantime is all you need to do.
Keep in mind that game servers are often overwhelmed by the number of requests they receive during the first few days a major game is launched. It will take a while until Riot manages to perfectly optimize Valorant’s servers so as to offer a smooth gaming experience to all users.
