If Twitch is giving you an error message saying ‘That page is in another castle’, that can be really confusing and funny at the same time. But after you laugh a bit because of the wording, you’re going to start looking for solutions to fix this error.
If you don’t know where to start, you can use this troubleshooting guide. Basically, we’re going to make sure there are no browser-related elements that might be interfering with Twitch.
Twitch Says That Page is in Another Castle
Fix 1 – Use Incognito Mode
To use private browsing, click on your browser menu and select New Private window or New incognito window.
Many users said this issue does not seem to happen in Incognito Mode or Private browsing mode. As you probably know, Incognito Mode blocks many of the scripts that websites use for running ads and tracking users.
That could be the reason why you’re getting that error — maybe Twitch needed too much time to load the respective scripts.
Fix 2 – Disable your extensions
Your browser extensions may also be blocking your connection to Twitch and trigger that error that says the page is in another castle.
Disable all your browser extensions and check if you’re still getting that castle error.
Click on your browser menu and select More tools. Then select Extensions. Disable all your existing extensions, refresh the tab and check if the error is gone.
Fix 3 – Clear the cache
If it’s been a long long time since you last cleared your browser cache, you should probably do that as soon as possible, especially if you’re getting that castle error on Twitch.
Click on your browser menu, select History and locate the Clear browsing data option. Click on that button to clear the cache, log out of your Twitch account and restart your computer.
Then launch your browser, log back in to your Twitch account and check if the error persists.
Fix 4 – Update your browser
If you’re running an outdated browser version, you may get all sorts of errors and encounter various Twitch glitches. Check if there’s a newer browser version available and install it.
We hope something helps.
