Snowy Escape is a very interesting Sims 4 expansion pack that lets you take your Sims to the mountainside and enjoy loads of fun and countless activities.
You can improve your Sim’s rock climbing skills, go skiing, float in natural hot springs or find your Zen in remote places.
Speaking of finding your Zen, many gamers are having a hard time loading the Snowy Escape expansion. That’s anything but Zen.
Troubleshooting Sims 4 Snowy Escape
Fix 1 – Repair the game
- Go to your Origin library
- Right-click on The Sims 4
- Select Repair game
- Wait until Origin has fixed the base game and all the expansion packs you installed
- Restart your computer and launch the game again.
Fix 2 – Create a new game folder
- Open the Sims 4 folder located under Documents/ElectronicArts
- Rename The Sims4 folder to The Sims4 old folder
- Launch the game again
- Sims 4 will automatically create a new game folder and this will fix any corruption issues affecting the game folder.
If the game and the Snowy Escape expansion are running properly, you can delete the Saves and Tray game folders from the newly created folder:
Fix 3 – Update your mods
When a new Sims 4 expansion is released, check if there are new version mods available for the mods you installed.
CC and mods creators usually update their creations shortly after the release of a new expansion pack.
If you suspect your mods are outdated and there’s no newer version available, move the Mods folder to your desktop and launch the game without mods. Check if this allows you to run the Snowy Escape expansion.
Fix 4 – Create a new household and travel to another lot
To force The Sims 4 to update all the game files, you can create a new household and play with it for a few minutes.
Then go back to your main household and have one of your Sims travel to another lot. Check if the Snowy Escape pack is loading properly now.
