How to fix PS5 errors CE-112916-0 and CE-112926-0

Your PS5 console is an incredible machine but this doesn’t mean it’s perfect. There are various error codes that could potentially ruin the fun even before you launch your favorite games. In this guide, we’ll focus on two rare errors that may sometimes break your console: CE-112916-0 and CE-112926-0. Let’s dive right in, shall we?

How do I fix PS5 errors CE-112916-0 and CE-112926-0?

Rebooting or turning Internet off and on fixes error codes CE-112916-0 and CE-112926-0 but only temporarily.

Use LAN and set up a new connection

You can also delete your current Internet connection and set up a new connection. Connect your PS5 console to LAN via an Ethernet cable and check if this workaround solved the problem.

Set up port forwarding

What worked for many users is getting new network hardware, and setting up port forwarding. Many users confirmed the errors went away after ditching the ISP provided router, and tweaking the port forwarding settings.

But first, you may want to test if your router is indeed causing these errors. This solution did the trick for many gamers, but there’s no point getting a new router if the one you’re using works perfectly fine.

Grab an Ethernet cable and connect your PS5 directly to the router, skipping the modem. By the way, use this setup only for your PS5 console and for testing purposes only.

If the console works properly connected this way, this indicates your PS5 is not the culprit.

After that, connect your router normally and forward your ports.

  1. Navigate to Settings → Network →  View connection status.
  2. Then write down your PS5’s IP and MAC addresses.
  3. Log in to your router’s homepage using your web browser and select Port Forwarding.
  4. Enter your console’s IP address.
  5. Add the TCP and UDP ports. Use 1935,3478-3480 for TCP, and 3074,3478-3479 for UDP. Or, if your device supports both of the protocols, add 1935, 3074, 3478-3480.
  6. Restart your router and check the results.

Get a new router

If  forwarding the ports didn’t do the trick, get a new router. Or ask one of your friends or neighbors to borrow theirs so that you can test the connection. Keep in mind that ISP-provided routers are usually outdated. Usually, they’re low-end routers and are not at all optimized for gaming. Moreover, the router provided by your ISP may sometimes interrupt LAN traffic to the PS5, especially when you’re playing intense online games.

Contact your ISP

If the problem persists, contact your ISP and ask them to check your connection. Maybe certain settings on your ISP’s end are causing these errors. Let them know what you tried so far so that they can get a clearer picture of the troubleshooting methods you already used.
