Rebuild the database

Basically, you’re going to boot up the console with only the most basic functions to reduce the risk of software conflicts.
Follow these instructions to start your PlayStation in Safe Mode:
1. Hold the Power button for three seconds to shut down the console.
2. Then hold the Power button again but this time hold it until you hear the second beep. This should take about 15 to 20 seconds.
3. After that, you can connect the controller to the console using a USB cable.
4. Press the PS button on the controller.
5. Select the Rebuild Database option.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Depending on the amount of data stored on your console, the process may take up to a few hours. So, be patient.
Other solutions you can try
If the error persists, you can use the solutions below.
⇒ Log out of your account. Restart your console and log back in as a guest.
⇒ Cancel the update download process. Launch the game for a few seconds, close it, and try to install the update again.
⇒ Restore your licenses. Go to Settings, select Users and Accounts, and go to Other. Then, select Restore Licenses.
⇒ Uninstall the problematic game. Agreed, this is not a convenient solution but reinstalling a fresh copy of the game might help.
If you can’t delete the game, restore your licenses first. Check if you can delete and reinstall the game after restoring your licenses.

Same problem. Any solutions?

Nothing works I’ve tried logging out and restarting and nothing works…I can’t play new god of war game😔😞
Had this error with an Overwatch 2 update. I rebuilt the database and when I restarted overwatch was gone from my home page. Found it in my game library, it say “installed” where it would say “play game” or “install” and it’s greyed out. However it isn’t showing up in my installed games or showing up in my storage menu so can’t uninstall and reinstall. What a mess.
Have you figured out how to fix if yet? Same issue with Apex.
I can’t start my game, it was working fine and now I can’t load the game. I tried updating database but still can’t load
Had exactly the same problem with Fortnite last night. My son tried to switch to the game when it was doing an update, I’ve tried all of the following with no success:
• Rebuild database and cleared cache (All that did was remove it from Home)
• Restored Licenses
• Updated system software
• Tried to reinstall from the PS Store
• Purchased a free skin pack to see if that would kick it back into life
It just says it’s installed and nothing else, I can’t delete or move it. I wondered if an update to the game might fix it? For now I’ve had to download on his PS4 and he can play it that way. Very frustrating
I feel you it happened to my son last night I spent 3 hours trying to fix it. What a mess does anyone know how to fix it?
Happen to me for mw2. Installed is grey for p5 and I can’t access. Tried all of the above restart, rebuild and nothing. Wtf going to try to download p4 version. Looking for a resolution.
Ok, I figured it out – mine was stuck on GT7.
I turned off the ps5, eject game disc, go back to settings storage and delete game
Then we go back to main menu, game is gone and then just need to start over and insert disc.
Maybe the process is different if the game is physical disc, not sure.
Hey, I did all of the above plus I rebuilt my data and it still didn’t work .
I tried ur “method“ with deleting the game and it can’t be deleted.
What should I do cuz idk anymore?
I’m talking about fifa23 on ps5
Hey guys! If you have this issue DO NOT freestyle! I have the same problem but i manage to put my ps5 in a safemode which I can’t get out of no matter what I do. I suggest you call them immediately.
I just did a factory reset and reloaded everything. My games worked fine after.
If you have trouble with this error.
Do not put your ps5 into safemode. Do not rebuild your database.
These are extreme measures that were made for extreme circumstances.
Simple fix.
Restore licenses and then immediately restart your console.
You get this error code when there’s been a minor glitch to your database.
Typically from closing down the console incorrectly. For example, a Power cut, turning off at the plug while in rest mode ect.
It causes your system to be flagged as “unrecognised” by the playstation network and the game licenses are pulled.
Simply restoring them reconnects the network and then restarting makes sure your system flags as safe.
It’s that simple.
