There is no doubt about it, playing Minecraft Dungeons with your friends is a really awesome and fun experience. But sometimes, sharing this gaming experience with your friends is not available.

When PC users hit the Game Bar, they are unable to join Minecraft Dungeons multiplayer. Or nothing happens when they try to play with their friends.
There can also be an infinite loading screen after joining a multiplayer session.
How to Fix Multiplayer Issues in Minecraft Dungeons
Fix 1 – Check your connection
In order to play multiplayer, you need a stable network connection. To ensure that, restart your modem and router, reboot your computer, and make sure your router is running on the latest firmware version.
If there are other devices using the bandwidth, try to disable them temporarily, especially if you’re on a wireless connection.
Speaking of which, try to switch to a cable connection if possible.
Fix 2 – Update everything
Install the latest Minecraft Dungeons updates. Multiplayer issues have been affecting the game ever since launch day. Mojang Studios are aware of the problem and there is a high chance that the latest game updates include hotfixes exactly for this specific issue.
Next on the list, make sure to update your computer. Go to Start → Settings → Update and Security → Check for updates. Get the latest graphics drivers as well.
Fix 3 – Manually reinstall Minecraft Dungeons
If some game files did not initially install properly, some of the game features, such as multiplayer, may not be available.
Here’s how you can fix that:
- Uninstall the game
- Open the Microsoft Store
- Locate Minecraft Dungeons
- Click the “…” button
- Select the option Install on my devices
- Launch the installation process and then hit the Play button.

How do you play co-op on Minecraft Dungeons?
Follow these steps to enable co-op on Minecraft Dungeons:
- All the players need to connect to the same network
- Select a host device to run the world
- All the participants need to run the same version of the game as the host
- Press Play
- Hit the Pen icon to create a new world
- Go to multiplayer and enable the option Visible to LAN Players
Hit Create to generate the new world and play.
Does Minecraft Dungeons have split-screen?
Minecraft Dungeons supports a version of split-screen in local co-op mode. The game allows players to zoom out in order to have all the characters visible on the screen.
Keep in mind that the screen does not actually split and the focus will always be on the players’ characters.
Is Minecraft Dungeons cross-platform?
Crossplay is not currently supported in Minecraft Dungeons. PC players cannot play together with, PS4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch gamers and the other way around.
