Hey there, fellow gamer! Are you excited to dive into a new EA game, but keep finding yourself stuck at the payment stage?

I know the frustration of encountering payment errors when all you want to do is start playing.

In this article, I’ll show you how to fix those pesky payment errors in no time.

What causes payment errors on the EA App?

Here are some of the most common reasons why you may encounter payment errors on the EA App.

Incorrect payment information such as an invalid credit card number, an expired card, or incorrect billing information.

Insufficient funds: Make sure you have enough funds in your account.

Server issues: EA App’s servers may experience downtime or technical issues, which can prevent payment processing. Go to EA Help’s Twitter page for news about ongoing server issues.

Error codes 10001-10007, 10045-10047, and 10051-10053 indicate EA couldn’t complete your order because of a technical issue with their payment service. Try again later.

Account issues: Make sure your EA account is not suspended or blocked account.

Regional restrictions: Some games may be unavailable in some countries or regions.

Fix: We couldn’t process your payment on the EA App

Check your billing address information

Make sure your billing address matches your payment method.

Go to your account settings and update your billing address if necessary.

Save the changes and try again.

Log out of your EA Account

Click on the down arrow next to your user name and select Log Out. Restart the app, log back in, and try making your purchase again.

Logging out of your account is a useful troubleshooting method. It can help refresh the session and clear any cached data or cookies that may be causing app hiccups.

Use a different payment method

If you’re experiencing payment issues when buying a new EA game, try using a different payment method.

If your credit card transaction doesn’t go through, try using a different card or payment method, such as PayPal.

  1. Click on the down arrow next to your user name
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Under My Profile, click on the Manage button
  4. A new My Account tab will open in your default browser
  5. Click on Payments Methods
  6. Enter a different payment method
  7. Save the changes and try again

Use the Web Store

If you’re getting payment errors when making a purchase in the EA App client, try using the Web Store. Maybe your payment will go through in the Web Store.

If you’re getting payment errors while using the Web Store, use the EA App instead.

Clear your cache

Click on the three dashes in the left-hand corner of the EA app, scroll down to Help, click on App Recovery, and then select Clear Cache.

Restart your computer, launch the EA App again, and check if your payment goes through.

⇒ Quick Note:

If you’re getting error code 5600, this indicates you’re trying to buy a game or add-on you already bought. EA won’t process the second order.

Error code 5601 indicates there was a locale or language issue with your order. Go to your account settings, and make sure your country and language info match your current location.
