Death Stranding takes you to a post-apocalyptic Earth. The game challenges you to make supplies for remote outposts and build the infrastructure elements needed for the supply chain.
Acquiring vehicles and having them ready at all times is a must. But sometimes players may not be able to charge their vehicles.
In this guide, we’ll show you what to do if you can’t charge your bike in Death Stranding.
How do I charge my bike in Death Stranding?
In Episode 2, you’ll find a Bike outside of the Distribution Center West building of Capital Knot City. The only problem is the battery is dead.
Step 1
First, you need to read the How to Repair Bike guide where you’ll find all the details and steps you need to follow to get the job done.
Step 2
Build a generator beside your Bike. You’ll get access to a generator blueprint right after completing Order 9. Use your Portable Chiral Constructor to build the generator.
Step 3
Charge the Bike. Once the generator is ready, charging your Bike’s battery should not take long (about 20 or 30 seconds). You can then use your new vehicle for supply drop missions.
Keep in mind that your Bike’s battery will drain faster on wet and rough terrain, as well as when you’re going through water. Take roads whenever possible to extend your vehicle’s battery life.
Always keep an eye on the battery meter located in the left corner of the screen.
You can charge your vehicles using any generators built by other players on the map. You can also leave a generator in frequently crossed spots to help other players.
But what do you when you built the generator, yet the Bike’s battery fails to charge?
My Bike is Not Charging in Death Stranding
If your Bike is not charging despite being near a generator, this indicates it needs some repair work done. But you can’t do that yourself.
To repair your Bike in Death Stranding, you need to take it to a Safe House that features a garage. All you need to do is park the bike on the circle located at the bottom of the ramp.
Go to your Private Room, take some rest, and when you return to the garage, the Bike will be charged and fully functional.
What To Do If Your Bike Ran Out of Battery in Death Stranding
Now, if your Bike has run out of juice completely, you can still move around. Simply jump on the Bike and it will hop forward. If you have got good balance, you can even get to a decent walking speed using this technique.
Alternatively, Sam can also walk the Bike to the nearest generator. Simply turn left and right and he’ll slowly walk the Bike as this Redditor confirms.
And now you know everything there is to know about charging and fixing your Bike in Death Stranding.
