If you’re a Crucible fan (Amazon Games), and you’ve been experiencing in-game audio issues lately, we got this post ready for you and we’ll list some potential fixes for this problem.
You can use this guide for troubleshooting a wide range of issues, including low-quality audio, no sound, audio lag, and more. Let’s dive right in.
Fixing Crucible Game Audio Glitches
1. Check your audio devices. Make sure your speaker or headphone connections are not faulty, the cables or the cords are not loose, you’re using the correct jack, the power is on. And check the volume controls. Try using a different port to connect your speaker or headphones to your computer.
Check your computer’s audio settings and make sure your audio devices are not muted or disabled.
2. Check the game audio settings. Maybe this issue is easier to fix than you might have first thought. Check the in-game volume settings and make sure the volume is not too low or disabled completely.
- Click on the cogwheel icon
- Select Settings
- Click on the Audio tab
- Increase the Volume sliders as needed
- Save the changes.
3. Run the audio troubleshooter. Windows 10 comes with a built-in audio troubleshooter that can identify and fix general audio issues, including in-game audio problems. To run the troubleshooter, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > run the Playing Audio Troubleshooter.
4. Update your audio drivers.
- To do this, open the Device Manager and go to Sound, video and game controllers
- Expand the list and right-click on your sound card and audio device
- Select Update driver
- Click on the option Search automatically for updated driver software
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Alternatively, if your computer can’t find any drivers, go your sound card’s manufacturer website and download the latest updates from there.
5. Restart the Audio services. Here are the steps to follow:
- In the Search box, type services
- Launch the Services app
- Select and restart the following audio services
- Windows Audio
- Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
- Remote Procedure Call (RPC).
- Launch Crucible again.
The 5 solutions listed above should help you fix the majority of your Crucible audio issues. However, if you’re still experiencing audio problems while playing the game, you can check out this Microsoft Support Page where you can find additional methods to troubleshoot audio issues on your computer.
