Final Fantasy 7 Remake players can use the autosave feature to make sure they don’t lose their game progress should anything go wrong. In this manner, the game will do most of the saving for you.
This is a very convenient method to use and it’s especially useful if the joy of leveling up and defeating the challenging bosses makes you forget to manually save your progress.
But some gamers don’t really like the fact there are too many game saves on their devices clogging up the storage space.
In this guide, we’ll show you how you can delete FF7 Remake game saves and free up some space.
How to Delete Game Saves in FF7 Remake
- Open the Settings page
- Go to Application Saved Data management
- Locate Saved data in system storage > delete
- Wait for the games to load and then locate FF7R > use X to select it
- The list of game saves will appear on the screen
- Select which save data to delete
Keep in mind the Saved Data section contains all the slots. Be extra careful when selecting which slot to delete. Don’t delete the whole Save Data section as this will permanently remove all game save slots. And you don’t want that, you only want to remove specific game saves.
Can I disable automatic game saving in FF7 Remake?
Unfortunately, there is no way to turn off the automatic game save feature. As a result, you’ll often end up with too many game saves and you’ll need to regularly delete old ones.
Of course, this is not a game-breaking issue. Prevention is always better than cure and deleting some game saves from time to time is far less infuriating than losing important game progress.
