How do you make it stop raining in Farming Simulator?

Farming Simulator players know that rain is not fun. Rain can last for up to 48 hours preventing you from harvesting your crops. It’s painfully realistic. Of course, there are many other activities you can take care of while it’s raining. For example, you can get maintenance done or take care of livestock.

But what if you don’t want to do any of these? Is there a way to make it stop raining? Let’s find out!

How to stop all rain and hail in Farming Simulator

If you’re willing to sacrifice realism for gameplay, you can stop rain and hail in Farming Simulator. There are two ways to do that: you can either edit the weather settings in the game’s files or use the Easy Development Controls mod.

Method 1: Edit the weather settings

If you prefer to not use mods, edit the weather settings directly in the game’s files. Open the environment.xml file and change the rain duration.

1. Navigate to the save game folder for the save you want to edit.
2. Then open the environment.xml file in Notepad.
3. Locate the durationLeft and duration for RAIN lines.
4. Set the rain duration to 1.000000 to turn rain off after an hour.
5. If you want to make it stop raining, set the rain duration to 0 (zero).
6. Load the save game.

If changing the rain duration doesn’t work, simply find any instance of rain and change it from RAIN to SUN or CLOUDY.

Method 1: Install Easy Development Controls

If you don’t mind using mods, download and install the Easy Development Controls mod. Using this mod to stop rain is much easier than editing the game files. You can change the weather settings right in the game as you are playing it.

1. Press F11 in-game to bring up the menu screen.
2. Then go to the Weather & Environment page.
3. Change the weather as you desire.
