The Baleful Shadow you fight before the Lake of Rot is NOT Blaidd but a servant of the Two Fingers. Each Empyrean was bestowed a half-wolf guardian by the Two Fingers. But even though Ranni turned her back on the Two Fingers & the Golden Order Blaidd stayed loyal.
