Changing your game language is a process that has many variables. Each game’s settings are different.
For example, some games may automatically adjust to your computer’s language settings. Others may require you to change the language from settings.
What about the EA App? How can you change your game language settings?
You cannot change the language of a game within the EA App. The EA App doesn’t support changing languages. The only workaround is to uninstall the game and reinstall it in the language of your choice.
When you install a new EA game on your computer, pay attention to the prompt that asks you which language you want to use.
If you select the wrong language settings, you may need to reinstall the whole game to set up the right language settings.
Changing your game language settings was much easier on Origin. All you had to do was go into Settings and select the language you wanted to use.
The lack of a clear and simple process for changing the game language straight from the EA App is leaving many gamers feeling frustrated.
Language-locked game versions
To make matters worse, there are also game versions that are specific to certain languages.
One such example is FIFA. You have an English, Japanese, Korean, and “Rest of the World” edition.
In case you have a game version that is locked to a specific language, contact EA Support for further help. You can ask them to add a different language version to your account or remove the language-locked version.
While you can’t change your game language directly from the EA App, you can change your app’s language settings.
How to change EA App’s language settings
- Log in to your EA Account
- Click the Menu icon
- Select Settings
- Click Application
- Use the Language dropdown menu to change your language
The EA App will automatically apply the new settings.
