Fix: Diablo Immortal no sound on iPhone or iPad

To fix Diablo Immortal sound issues on iPhone or iPad, install the Audio Resources package. Ensure your audio settings don’t override Diablo Immortal in-game sound. Additionally, use your AirPods, repair the game, and check for updates.

Install the Audio Resources package

Apart from the base download, Diablo Immortal brings an additional install of 700MB. This package includes additional audio files files that will improve your gaming experience.

When you launch the game for the very first time, you’re prompted to install a series of additional game files. To that, and check if the sound issue should disappear.

To download the Diablo Immortal audio files, go to the Download Manager, swipe right and and select the Audio Resources package.

Check your iPhone/ iPad audio settings

Review your current audio settings on your iPhone or iPad. Make sure they’re not interfering with Diablo Immortal. For example, music streaming apps can override Diablo Immortal in-game sound.

Force stops all the apps running in the background, and check if this solution solves the problem.

Use headphones

If your iPhone or iPad speakers aren’t working with Diablo Immortal, use your AirPods. Force-stop Diablo Immortal, connect your AirPods to your device, and restart the game. Many gamers confirmed this workaround did the trick for them.

Enable voice chat

Try grouping with a friend and turn on voice chat. Turn on your microphone, and check if audio works now. If this workaround does the trick for you, keep your microphone on. If you disable it, audio will turn off.

Check for updates

Be sure to install the latest iOS or iPadOS updates on your device. Update Diablo Immortal to the latest version as well. Then, restart your device, launch the game and check the results.

If the sound issues that you’re experienced are caused by a software bug, wait until Blizzard rolls out a hotfix.

Repair the game

  1. Tap on the Wrench icon to access additional options
  2. When prompted to repair the game, select OK
  3. Close the game and wait for 30 seconds
  4. Launch Diablo Immortal again to start the repair process

If nothing works, reinstall Diablo Immortal and contact Blizzard Support.
