Darwin Project is definitely a game that deserves more attention. The title adds a series of innovations to the genre, yet it’s still struggling to gather a bigger player base despite the fact that it received positive reviews from both critics and players.
Some gamers feel that Darwin Project is missing certain features and game modes that could make it more popular in the future. And in this post, we’re going to talk about one particular feature.
Does Darwin Project support squads? Darwin Project does not currently support squads. The game can host up to 10 players on the map which makes it pretty difficult to add squads as this would slow down the whole game action.
As you can see, the current game limitations are related to the limited number of players and the map size.
There are many gamers who have got a lot of friends into the game but they can’t play together in a proper lobby. The only solution is to play Duos but that doesn’t answer the underlying question.
What needs to change in order to make squads in Darwin Project an enjoyable experience?
Game changes needed for squad support
Add a bigger map
If Darwin Project were to support squads, it would definitely need a bigger map. The current map is simply too small to support this feature.
Add more loot
Having a team of 3 or 5 players trying to get their hands on the resources will cause a lot of nuisance. Some gamers won’t be able to gather enough resources fast enough — which means they will be sitting ducks for the other inmates.
For the time being, the possibility of Darwin Project getting squad support is very low. If the game fails to increase its player base, then the devs will probably cross this idea off their list for good. But only time will tell is squads are something Darwin Project can support or not.
Over to you now: Do you think the game should get squads? Tell me why in the comments below.
